The majesty of a temple where columns rise up straight and tall. The fluted shafts of the pillars of Philae are decorated with palm motifs. In the middle of the desert the palm tree is a source of life, while in the distance stretches an eternal Egypt: the Egypt of the Pharaohs and of Luxor. Slender and majestic, the 2007 limited edition flacon of Lalique pour Homme Le Faune displays the discreet luxury of a bold, cylindrical column rising high: the symbol of mankind, and the symbol of the tree. The palm tree evokes Hathor, goddess of the heavens, while her Greek name associates her with the sun. The flacon invites us into the imaginary East and gives us its name: « Louxor de Lalique ».

The head notes sparkle with overtones of the Hesperides: joyful bergamot and sweet mandarin. Then comes a trail of fresh lavender, a hint of coriander and a touch of juniper berry. The middle notes of aniseed, cistus, geranium and hedione are spiced up with pepper. And when the base note finally arrives, it magnifies the woody, cedar and sandalwood notes associated with patchouli and amber on notes of vanilla, sweet tonka bean, musk and benzoin tears.
