Along with the turn of the century, René Lalique was at the height of his career as a fashionable jewelry-maker but has a long-term vision and already other projects in mind… Exploring the new prospect of glassmaking, he finally decided in the 1910’s to leave jewelry-making behind and have glass as Lalique’s main focus.
